INDUSTRY LINGO: WHO IS A LP?
LP: Licensed Plumber
Do you know that only PUB Licensed Plumbers (LPs) are allowed to carry out water service and sanitary works?
PUB revised its licensing scheme from 1st April 2018, to require all sanitary plumbers to be licensed. Licensed Plumbers (LPs) are required to make submission via the Licensed Plumber Portal.
To find out if the plumber you are planning to engage is licensed and qualified for the job, you can perform a search on PUB’s Licensed Plumbers (LPs)‘s directory.
For simple plumbing works, a Licensed Plumber (LP) is not necessary. Handymen without a license can do water service works pertaining to potable water and sanitary works pertaining to used water.
